Travel Whispers Blogger Challenge
We here at OTR haven’t been on this journey very long but we are continually meeting really awesome people everyday.
People who support us, help with all the questions this territory comes with and who have some really great ideas. We are happy to participate today in the Travel Whispers Blogger Challenge.
Now being new to the whole kit and caboodle of traveling and blogging about our journey I’m sure our answers won’t be a great as some of the other bloggers. But ours will be honest.
We hope that newbies just like us will find inspiration and know that everyone’s journey starts somewhere. And that experienced travelers reading will be able to look back on their own beginnings, no matter how short or long ago and remember why they chose to travel and what their dreams were and still are.
1. If you had to move to a country that you’ve NEVER been to, and live there for ten years, where would you go?
This answer is easy, France. I don’t have a clue why and I’m just gong with it right now.
I want to see everything, everywhere but France feels like home to me.
2. If you had to live in a hotel for the rest of your life, which hotel would you choose and why?
This one I don’t feel I have enough information or experience to give an answer.
I’ve only been to really not so great hotels. But f I had to pick with the experience I
have today I would say the Airport hotel we stayed in Pittsburg, PA when
we visited my oldest son a few years ago.
3. If you could only eat the cuisine of one nationality forever more, which would you choose?
This one is another one that is easy. My family is gluten free and it has to do with a lot of Sitting Shadows medical difficulties. But for that reason alone this past year we have had to find a new way of eating. Gluten is everywhere and in anything that tastes good. We have found some stability in Mexican food as corn tortillas have been a great substitute to traditional bread. It also doesn’t seem to cause the reactions normal bread does. The cuisine seems to use corn more than wheat and has been a life saver for us who the lack of gluten was a bit traumatic.
4. Who has given you ‘holiday envy’ this year, and how?
Every blog article, FB post and beautiful picture has given me travel envy since I started. I wouldn’t say envy in a bad way but the kind of envy that reminds me what direction we should be driving towards.
5. If you had to look at the same sunrise or the same sunset every day, where in the world would you never get bored of seeing? Please don’t say sitting outside Cafe Mambo in Ibiza.
I’m not sure, we’ve only just started
6. If you were taking a ‘staycation’ in your home town, where would it be and what would you recommend others to do?
Bethany Beach, DE
It is a private little beach right on the Atlantic. We visit frequently and have loved our time there.
The town is very friendly and a classic beach town hosting wonderful summer festivals. The food is wonderful, the boardwalk is spectacular and the ocean views are magnificent.
7. Describe your perfect travel day of the year?
Having just started our journey I don’t really have one yet but it would involve my family traveling with me,
but not necessarily everything going right, easy and smooth. But creating a memory that will last for generations. It will be epically told during holidays and family gatherings long after I’m gone.
8. What have you ticked off your bucket list in 2016
I have only just started a bucket list this year. I hope I answer this question next year
with so many I get carpel tunnel just typing it up.
9. What is top of your travel bucket list for 2017?
I personally would love to visit Rockefeller Center for Christmas with my family. MY kids vote is the Statue of Liberty. Currently we are limited to local travel but we have a lot of options close to us
that I’m excited to share with my family.
10. Share your favorite Instagram photo of 2016?
I have only joined Instagram a few short days ago. I will have one for next year.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in this wonderful challenge.

Thanks for sharing! I wish you luck on your traveling bucket list of 2017! With two young kids, our exotic traveling has been halted. But I’m looking forward to Mexico next month, Disney in May, and hopefully Thailand in the distant future. I feel if I make it to Thailand, I will be complete!
Thank you Sarah. Our exotic travel is a bit far away too but you sound like you have a full and fun schedule for the year!!
I look forward to all your pics (my kids are DYING to go to Disney) and reading about all your adventures.
Hmmm…. Nice work…
Regards
